All of the work I do – individual, relationship, and group therapy – is queer, trans, and polyamory-affirming. On one level, this means that LGBTQIA+ people and / or those who practice consensual non-monogamy can be assured that I create a space for them to bring the fullness of themselves and their identities.
On another level, I also use ‘queer’ in a wider sense – queer as in odd, unusual, or unique. In this way, my approach as a therapist is to understand and celebrate that which makes you different from others. My aim is to help you to become more fully yourself, embracing those aspects of yourself that may not always be in line with cultural norms or societal expectations but nonetheless inform the wholeness of who you are.
In addition to my own lived experience as a queer, non-binary, polyamorous person I also hold a BA in Gender & Sexuality Studies and an MA in Gender, and Sexuality Studies. I am also a mentor for Pink Therapy and the founder of Queer Therapy UK, an organisation which celebrates the wisdom of queer communities and the ways in which this wisdom can be applied in therapeutic settings.
